We need more volunteers

Welcome

We're 1st Longniddry Scouts! We've been active in the village for over 100 years (we think) and we are still doing what we have always done best: challenging young people to try new things and give them skills and experiences to last a lifetime.

We currently have a great group of young people from the village and surrounding area that come along every week to challenge themselves, work together and gain useful skills. We're always looking to grow our group, and we need more volunteers to make that happen for years to come - so tell us how you can help!

Our sections

Beavers

6 - 8 years

Mondays 6 - 7pm

We've recently restarted Beavers but we need a new leader team to secure their future - perhaps you can help?

Cubs

8 - 10.5 years

Mondays 7:15 - 8:15pm

You'll find our Cubs playing games, trying new things and earning new badges!

Scouts

10.5 - 14 years

Thursdays 7 - 8.30pm

Our Scouts are usually found eating biscuits, cutting wood or just poking a fire.

Where we meet

We're lucky to have our own hall, right in the centre of the village. It's next to the tennis courts and bowling green, between Old Douglas Road and Seton Road. Our hall has everything we need to do what we do - including a kitchen, projector and super-fast fibre optic wireless internet (courtesy of Highland Broadband)!

When we're not at the hall, you might find us on the beach, in the woods, or somewhere even more wild!

Our hall is available for hire when we're not using it - get in touch with us via email if you would like more information.

Volunteer with us

Scouts isn't just for young people and volunteering with us is a great way to challenge yourself, give young people in our village the skills and confidence to challenge themselves and lead others, all while having a good laugh.

Volunteering with Scouts is flexible and can fit in with the skills and time you have! We provide all the training and support that you will need to make a difference, so let us know what you have to offer and we'll be in touch!
